It is my philosophy that every individual who enters the therapeutic process has their own unique experiences; and that sharing these lived experiences can be frightening, make one feel vulnerable and exposed.

My approach is to make you feel that you are not alone in this journey and that we will be working as a team to help you work through your current psychological and emotional difficulties. Most importantly, that when our process ends you feel more empowered in your life through improving the understanding of yourself and further harness the already present resilience that you have.
I have a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families. This includes various difficulties such as:

  • parent-child relationship difficulties
  • divorce/separation,
  • challenging behavior
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • scholastic difficulties
  • low self-esteem

I enjoy working with adults as well, where often my therapeutic work is to improve understanding of one self and the current difficulties you are facing. I have a special interest in helping those struggling with:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • intense anger
  • low self-esteem
  • relationship difficulties
  • divorce
  • parenting
  • substance abuse
  • any other lived experience that has been difficult to cope with on your own.

I completed both my B.A (Humanities) and B.A Hons (Psychology) at the University of Stellenbosch. My M.A in Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude) was completed at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in the Child Guidance Clinic (CGC). Furthermore, I completed my internship at Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital.
