Education and Training

Caylen Abrahams is a passionate clinical psychologist based in Cape Town. She completed her undergraduate and honours degree in psychology at Stellenbosch University and obtained her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand. She completed her internship at the Tara H. Moross Centre, where she worked in the Child In-patient Unit and Outpatient Clinic and Helen Joseph Hospital in the Outpatient Psychology Department. She completed her community service at the Worcester Female Correctional Centre. She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a clinical psychologist with registration number PS 0157066.

Caylen has been trained in psychodynamic therapy, with experience in dialectical behavioural therapy, play therapy and supportive therapy. She enjoys working with each client to understand their individual needs and dynamics, providing a safe, non-judgemental space to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
